I was scheduled to retire in Octobre 2019 but my wife was aiming for 2021. After the announcement of cutbacks in her department she took her retirement in June of 2019 with a nice cash out.

So we decided to travel full time and when out for a first long haul down south to Florida for 2 months. On our return the pandemic hit and we put everything on hold making small in and out trips when permitted and fine tuning our plan.

2021 we sold the house and hit the roads, traveling east to Magdalene Island all the way to Vancouver going north of the Great Lakes.

Wow what an amazing country we live in! It was our first time driving that full distance and it really made me proud of my career serving my country.

On November 8th 2021 the border and we crossed heading down the west coast.

During all that time I continued to train for my next running race which happened on Mount Charleston

in Vegas in 2022.  Right now we’re in Newfoundland seeing iceberg for the first time!
